GT-2160 are very lightweight and durable shoes which have
tones of comfort and eye-catching looks to offer. These
shoes are the updated version of the ASICS GT-2150. These
shoes have all the features which the previous model had.
The lightweight construction of these shoes makes them
perfect for long training and running. The upper is made
from the open mesh which is durable and allows sufficient
air flow to keep the interior environment of the shoes cool
and fresh. To add style and durability, the upper also has
the overlays made from the synthetic leather. To enhance the
visibility of these shoes during the low light, the upper
has the 3M reflective elements. The tongue has been
cushioned lightly which provides comfort tot he upper part
of the foot during running. The heel as the lining of double
memory foam layers which mold as per the shape of your foot
to give you personalized fit and comfort. These layers are
called PHF (Personalized Heel Fit). The insole has the
ComforDry technology which keeps the foot fresh, dry and
odorless. The footbed is luxuriously comfortable and it has
the anti-microbial treatment as well. The interior has the
I.G.S (Impact Guidance System) which provides natural foot
gait from the heel to the toe off. The midsole has been made
from the DuoMax which has dual density and it provides
stability and support while running. The midsole also has
the Solyte which is lighter than SpEVA and standard EVA.
This midsole is highly durable, very cushiony and
supportive. To maximize the cushioning and comfort, these
forefoot and the rarefoot has the Gel cushioning systems.
This cushioning system reduces the heel strike and disperse
the impact force. These shoes features excellent system
called Gender Specific Space Trusstic System which detects
the periodic changes in the women arch. To provide maximum
strike efficiency these shoes have the Guidance Line
technology. The outsole has been made from the DuraSponge
which consists of the blown AHAR (ASICS High Abrasion
Rubber). This outsole is highly durable and flexible. The
outsole also provides cushioning and shocks absorption. The
outsole also has the AHAR (ASICS High Abrasion Rubber) heel
plug which deliver durability for the high wear part. To
improve the comfort, the forefoot and heel area also has the
Dual-density Solyte 55 lasting, which uses the 55 degree
density of Solyte lasting material. It weighs 10 ounces as
per size 8 which is quite lightweight as compare to most of
the shoes which these specifications. This style can be
found in these colors: Lightning/ Electric Blue/ White, Ice
Blue/ White/ Titanium, Kiwi/ Lightning/ Titanium, Plum/
White/ Carbon, Blue/ White/ Black and Lightning/ Onyx/

1. I like this shoe a lot. I am replacing a
pair of identical shoes I wear every day. They are great
except for a different and slightly unpleasant odor from the
moment I pulled them out of the box. As far as the shoe's
look and performance I have no complaints. I love the
support and air sole in this shoe. I can walk all day
comfortably and wear them every day for about 9 months
before they start falling apart.
2. My husband is a pedestrian and is notoriously hard on
shoes. These shoes not only help correct those, but make
walking a pleasure for him again. They take a beating and
keep going. He loves them so much he now has them in every
color except the dark nubuck! They are exceptionally
good-looking shoes and can go from casual to everything but
the most dressy occasions. Equally at home with jeans and
his dress pants. He even wears the black ones with his sport
coat.
3. I just bought my second pair of these, but only because
I've carelessly ripped too much of the leather over the last
5 years while hiking. Thus, I will still keep my old pair
for hikes, and only use my new ones for work. I just can't
express how glad I am that I found such comfortable
walking/standing shoes that still look decent after 5 years.
4. I bought these shoes because I have a long narrow foot (
13N ) and have trouble finding ones that fit correctly. The
Asics fit perfectly and have a soft sole. I use them for
work in our office and for HVAC sales in the homes of our
customers. I like the soles because they are easy for
standing and don't track dirt into house. I mark down the
number of these shoes because I intend to purchase them
again.
5. I bought GT 2160 shoes because of the Asics reputation
for quality and because they were available in big and wide
sizes which are hard for me to find. I owned one other pair
of Rockport shoes in the past and thought they were an
excellent shoe but have been unable until now to locate them
in my size. This shoe is comfortable, well made and I am
looking forward to wearing them several times a week for
casual wear and walking in the mall. I really have not found
anything about them that I dislike.
6. I have been wearing them for about 10 years. Each pair
has lasted many years. The dye seems to penetrate the
leather, so that the surface can survive considerable wear
without reverting to natural leather color. A little black
polish and they are looking good again, even after five
years. They are reasonably waterproof and will keep your
feet dry in normal rain storms and puddles, but maybe not if
standing for long periods in pools of water. The styling is
good and they are very comfortable for walking long
distances. |
